NARRATED Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him): While the Prophet (peace be upon him) was saying something in a gathering, a Bedouin came and asked him, "When would the Hour (Doomsday) take place?" Allah's Apostle continued his talk, so some people said that Allah's Apostle had heard the question, but did not like what that Bedouin had asked. Some of them said that Alllah's Apostle had not heard it. When the Prophet finished his speech, he said, "Where is the questioner, who enquired about the Hour (Doomsday)?" The Bedouin said, "I am here, O Allah's Apostle." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "When honesty is lost, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday)." The Bedouin said, "How will that be lost?" The Prophet said, "When the power or authority comes in the hands of unfit persons, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday.)"

New book

Precious pearl Well I just about finished reading the labrinyth By Kate Mosse not the model someone else which is a historical novel that flits between now and the medieval period and involves a Crusade against the cathars. I see the church of england and the Vatican have come out against the De Vinci code and the Gospel of Judas. I read the book thought itis interesting. I wonder how many people realiase that The Catholic church burnt many gospels in the first 2 or three centuries and that most of the early christians certainly did not beleive that Jesus was the son of God but only a prophet and he came not to preach a new religion but to bring the Jews back to the straight path.

The next book im planning to read is the Kite Flyer which is set in Afghanistan has been well recommeded to me.

We have put a Qur'an on eBay and, in the item description, we have provided a brief explanation of the basic principles of Islam. Our mission is to get this Qur'an onto eBay Pulse, which is a website that lists the most heavily watched items on eBay (http://pulse.ebay.com). Thousands upon thousands of non-Muslims regularly view this site to check out the latest items. These items often make the news!

If we get the Qur'an onto eBay Pulse, all those non-Muslims will read the item description and learn about Islam. Imagine, if someone becomes Muslim from this we'll ALL get rewarded, in sha Allah! If you're down with the project, all you need to do is:

1. Quickly register for an eBay account if you don't already have one (it's free and you don't need a credit card). Just go to http://www.ebay.com and click on "register". It's easy!

The faster we do this, the faster it will get onto eBay Pulse! If we get about 1,000 Muslims watching the item within a week (and it is very possible!), it should easily get us onto eBay Pulse, in sha Allah! We may even make the news!

If we make any money off this (and I doubt we will) it will be given to Islamic Relief, in sha Allah. We put a huge price tag on it so that nobody buys it. That way it will stay on eBay longer.

Guys, this is da'wah without even having to approach the non-Muslims. They'll read it on their own and maybe become Muslim, in sha Allah! And every Muslim in the world with an internet connection can participate and get some of the reward! So spread the word all over the globe!

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) saying: The devil said to his Lord: By Your Glory and Majesty! As long as the progeny of Adam exists on earth, I shall continuously misguide them. At this Allah remarked: By My Glory and Majesty! As long as they seek My forgiveness, I will go on to pardon them.
(This Hadith is sound and related by Ahmad in his Musnad).

addictive personalities

Precious pearl Is their such a thing as an addictive personality; I think their is, I think some people need a crutch at times of stress and so they relapse into a bad habit they might have given given up twenty or thirty years ago even though they know it does them no good. So you find some people will also move from smoking to gambling to alcohol to drug use etc.

Some people will not even do anything till they have read their stars in the nespaper and they believe everything that they read . Some people will have a set routine which they do every day and they must do it or they cannot function properly unless they do it.

outside interfernece

Precious pearl I was reading an email the other day about a very well known Shaikh in the west who gives talks and it mentioned that that the foreign office paid for the last series of talks that the shaikh and the other imans gave on their lecture tour. It made me feel very uneasy that the UK government which is fighting an illegal war against a muslim country and against muslims in general was sponsoring tours of muslim speakers. I think we should be very wary of this government if they are trying to promote a certain type of islam. I have nothing against the shaikhs as they have not said anything wrong against islam or what any reanonsable muslim beleives in; it is just the idea of a Kuffar government sponsoring a series of talks on islam for ulterior reasons.
