Precious pearl
Precious pearlI went to the Lobby in Trafalger Square the other day. It was very cold . I was worried about misssing the prayers, anyway a group of sisters decided to prayer together right next to one of the fountains, so we laid down our placards and prayed , we had so many photggraphers taking our pictures its not very nice when you have camras right in front of your face, do they not think that it is wrong to do that . It was a very peaceful rally the speakers were good and not long winded . I did not stay till the end .

sisters shouldnt pray where men can see them
coz thats absolutly harram
One should not say something is haram unless it is clearly stated to be haram. If you go to the mosque in Mecca you will see both men and women praying their. I thought it was better to pray on time and not miss the salat as I knew I would if I did not pray and there was no mosque near by.

i am not doubting your intention at all,, inshallah this is what you saw as right,, and you acted upon that,,you should have at least tried to pray away from public etc,, and you should have not put your self in an necessary situation where you could miss salat
another point
is the masjid in mecca like every other masjid ??
No, it has special juristprudence and we cannot compare it to other masajid,,
I am quite sure that the praying of women is 3ara,, in that no man should see a woman praying
delaying prayer but within its time limit would be better than uncovering 3awra,
and Allah is the source of guidance
aLL THE SISTERS WHO PRAYED WERE IN FULL HIJAB AND WE prayed in the quitest bit of the square away from most of the crowd. Their was no way of delaying that prayer without missing it altogether. I have never come across a hadith or opinion that says a woman should not be seen praying by men. I know it is better to pray at your home than in a mosque but everything depends on the circumstance at the time and I hate to miss a prayer .
